The Internet Anywhere™ Corporate Email
Server has been designed to work on either a dedicated
or shared system. You will need to consider the number
of mailboxes needed and the amount of email the system
will be delivering before choosing the computer
hardware. Large amounts of mail storage and email
transferred will require a more powerful computer and
larger disk space. We recommend that the disk partition
for the Email Server's data use the NTFS file system. If you are going to be
delivering email to the Internet, please consult your
Internet Service Provider for any special requirements,
Domain Name registration and MX ( Mail Exchange ) record
creation.
The NoticeWare™ Email Server
requires the following:
Server Machine:
- Windows NT4/2000/2003/XP
operating system

Absolute Minimum Operating System:
Windows NT 4.0 (
Server or Workstation ) with Service Patch 6 or
better

Recommended Operating System: Windows XP or above

Winsock 2.2 TCP/IP

Dial-up adapter or Network connection to the
Internet
- Using
SpamAssassin(tm) and the Bayesian Filter will
dramatically increase memory and CPU cycle
consumption.
Client Machines:

Any Internet Standards compliant TCP/IP based e-mail
application software

TCP/IP network connection to the server machine (
Dialup or dedicated )
